Technology BSA has successfully completed the qualification process required by Rockwell Automation, achieving Authorized Service Provider (ASP) certification. This is an official recognition within the Rockwell Automation PartnerNetwork, attesting to technical expertise, reliability, and the ability to support customers across the full lifecycle of industrial automation systems.
This is not merely a commercial title: it is a certification that authorizes us to deliver technical services in accordance with the methodological and quality standards defined directly by the manufacturer, supported by a continuously trained and qualified team.
What being an ASP means for our customers
Being an Authorized Service Provider allows us to deliver structured, certified technical support across the entire lifecycle of an industrial plant—from start-up and commissioning to routine and extraordinary maintenance, all the way through modernization and evolutionary upgrades.
In practical terms, this means:
- Rockwell Automation, certified technical personnel, with direct access to manufacturer resources, documentation, and support.
- Official operating methodologies, applied consistently across every service activity.
- The ability to work on existing installations with a structured approach to operational risk and obsolescence management.
- Integration within the global PartnerNetwork ecosystem, with access to tools and programs dedicated to Rockwell Automation ASPs.
Becoming an ASP is a significant milestone: it enables us to support our customers with an even more structured level of expertise and methodology, reducing downtime and increasing plant reliability.

Installed Base Evaluation (IBE): a snapshot of the plant
Among the services enabled by ASP qualification, one of the most strategic is the Installed Base Evaluation (IBE): a structured methodology designed to perform an in-depth analysis of all installed automation assets—PLCs, drives, HMIs, safety systems, networks, and control architectures—providing customers with a clear and comprehensive view of the current state of their plant.
IBE is not just an inventory. It is a risk management and strategic planning tool that makes it possible to:
- Map and classify the installed base: assets, firmware versions, configurations, and operational criticalities
- Identify obsolescence risks: discontinued components, end-of-support products, and spare parts unavailability
- Assess cybersecurity exposure: outdated firmware, non-segmented architectures, and known vulnerabilities
- Define a concrete action roadmap with clear priorities for maintenance, revamping, migrations, and standardization.
At the end of the activity, the customer receives a structured report including: an updated and classified inventory of the installed base, documented evidence of identified critical issues, and technical recommendations with a short- and mid-term action plan.
The activity is carried out through a data collection phase (also remotely, where possible) and an on-site verification phase, followed by a final review shared with the customer and their team.
From diagnosis to optimization: Rockwell Automation Lifecycle Services
IBE is the starting point of a broader journey, delivered by Rockwell Automation through its Asset Optimization Services. Once the condition of the installed base is known, a tailored strategy can be built that may include:
