Online training on UL/CSA regulation

With Rockwell Automation support we propose a webinar on a topic as much discussed as complex: the UL/CSA regulation. From the component choice approach to the certification and consultancy services offered by Technology BSA!

The webinar is aimed at companies who export and manufacture machines for the US and Canada markets! Compared to our previous courses, this online session will be a real in-depth analysis on the subject with a part dedicated to the explanation of the difference between the Ur and UL approved cables, we will talk about the “Low Voltage Limited Energy 100W” circuits and the difference of approach in choosing the suitable component.

BSA and Rockwell Automation technicians will be at your disposal to answer any questions related to your business. We know that needs vary from company to company! That’s why discussing with technicians becomes an important part of the webinar!

Do you know all the risks associated with exports to the North America? In order to export to this territory it is good to know what are the requirements to comply with the UL/CSA regulation. In these countries there is a general distrust in products that come from Europe.

There are three main reasons. First: the customers are looking for products that acquire a solidity and robustness linked to the industrial tradition of the North American market. The second concerns international security: protection for the community and for the individual. Third: many European entrepreneurs believe that the requirements established by the European IEC standards are sufficient to freely access the US and Canada markets. But they did not consider that the North-american standards are different and each federal state can apply further restrictions to a local level.

This is why we believe it is important to allow companies to train on this issue in order to avoid industrial disputes in North-american countries as much as possible.

If you produce machinery for the US and Canada markets, self-certification will not be sufficient and the safety of your products must be verified and certified! To export to the EU countries is required to attend the reference directives for the product, to carry out the risk analysis of the machine, to affix the CE mark, without the need to certify the machine by a third party (if not in the expected cases). On the other hand to access the North America you need:

  • to comply with federal laws;
  • to attest the conformity of the components;
  • in some cases, to submit the product to recognized inspectors;
  • it is not mandatory to mark the machine or the electrical equipment.

Attend the UL/CSA webinar with BSA and Rockwell Automation technicians!
