Micro800 controllers are Rockwell Automation designed solutions for low complexity stand alone machines. The biggest advantage of these micro PLCs is that they are small and not so expensive.
The features of the Micro800 make them an ideal solution for machine builders, who also have the ability to customize the controller for specific applications. All Micro800 products have the same programming environment, accessories and plug-ins.
MICRO800 SELECTION GUIDE
PLC MICRO 810 ROCKWELL AUTOMATION
These PLCs function as smart relays with high current outputs.
- They support 12 I/O points with 4 high current (8A) relay outputs which eliminate the need for external relays.
- Application data can be monitored and modified using the optional liquid crystal display.
- You can configure and manage smart relay function blocks without programming.
PLC MICRO 870 ROCKWELL AUTOMATION
These micro PLCs are designed for large stand-alone machine control applications that require flexible communications and increased I/O capabilities. They support:
- up to 304 I/O points;
- up to 8 expansion I/O modules
- up to 3 Micro800 ™ plug-in modules
They also offer 280KB memory capable of supporting up to 128KB of user data and up to 20,000 program steps. The Micro 870 PLC provides integrated communication functions via USB programming ports, non-isolated serial port and Ethernet support. Communication takes place via Ethernet/IP protocol.
PLC MICRO 850 ROCKWELL AUTOMATION
These micro PLCs are designed for large stand-alone machine control applications, such as those of micro 870 plc. Here there are the main differences:
- They support up to 132 I/O points with high I/O performance
- They support up to 4 expansion I/O modules
- They support up to 5 Micro800 ™ plug-in modules
And even then the controller communicates via the Ethernet/IP™ protocol.
PLC MICRO 830 ROCKWELL AUTOMATION
They differ from the 870 and 850 micro PLCs for these features:
- the PLCs support up to 88 I/O points with high I/O performance
- the controllers available are 10, 16, 24 and 48 points
- they support up to 5 Micro800 ™ plug-in modules
Several Micro830 and Micro850 controllers support point-to-point positioning control through integrated pulse train outputs (PTO). This mode is only present on models with this end part of the codes: BB or VB. These micro PLCs also allow you to configure up to six High Speed Counters (HSC).
PLC MICRO 820 ROCKWELL AUTOMATION
These PLCs have been designed for remote automation and stand-alone machine control applications with reduced complexity, but with applications that require flexible communications and great I/O capabilities.
- Plcs Micro820 support up to 163 I/O points
- These are 20-point controllers
- They supports up to 2 Micro800™ plug-in modules
- They have an integrated non-isolated 0 … 10V 4-channel analog input and 1-channel analog output for speed control of a frequency converter
These micro PLCs also communicate via Ethernet/ P ™ and have integrated communication functions via serial port and non-isolated Ethernet port.
The programming and configuration software environment for Rockwell Automation Micro 800 controllers is Connected Components Workbench ™. The software simplifies product configuration.
Features of the standard version:
- LD, FBD and ST editors
- User-defined function blocks
- No activation needed
- Optional registration during installation (for product updates and communications)
