How does a smart radar differ from other motion sensors and safety devices? The features of Inxpect products have been developed over the years thanks to the study of many technicians!
The lack of dedicated HW resources, together with the weak authentication and security protocol, are dangerous for the IoT devices security. For this reason Inxpect’s business focuses on a security-first approach with an intrinsic security of radar.
In every communication board there is a dedicated industry standard crypto co-processor (in which a secure key storage and a real time asymmetric cryptography is managed). Unlike traditional motion sensors based on infra-red laser or microwaves, the smart sensor LBK-S01 can compute in real time the distance if the moving personnel reaching unsafe areas. Inxpect company told that: “The LBK-S01 is undisturbed by smoke, dust, shavings, machining waste, splashes, resulting in a dramatic reduction of false alarms, and significantly increasing the efficiency and productivity of the plant without compromising safety.”
Sensor field of vision can reach 110° at horizontal level and 30° at vertical level. The actual field of vision of the sensor depends on sensor height (from 0 to 1m) and sensor tilt (from -20° to +20°).
Three certified sensitivity levels:
- NORMAL: this detection function reduces the number of false allarms filtering small objects, machine shavings, smoke, water or oil droplets, vapours and other environmental factors
- VERY HIGH: the restart function allows to detect the micro-movements of the ribcage in the act of breathing, thus preventing accidental restarts of the machine
- PRE-ALARM: motion in this area will cause the closing of the dedicated auxiliary output relay.
LBK-S01 is the world’s first SIL2/Pld radar system certified for safety-critical applications.
