nVent Hoffman takes an important step toward sustainability: its industrial air conditioning units now use R-513A refrigerant, a choice that reduces global warming potential (GWP) by 56% compared to previous models based on R-134a.
This development marks a concrete step forward in Hoffman’s journey towards more efficient and environmentally friendly climate control solutions, in line with global goals to reduce environmental impact and combat climate change.

A choice for the environment, without compromising on performance
The switch to R-513A allows the same cooling performance to be maintained, while reducing CO₂ equivalent emissions and improving the sustainability profile of the product’s life cycle.
The new units—available in different sizes and configurations for indoor and outdoor installations—are designed to offer reliability even in the most demanding environments, where resistance, continuity of service, and protection of electronic components are essential.

Responsible innovation
With this initiative, nVent Hoffman confirms its commitment to more sustainable industrial technologies, reducing the environmental impact of industrial air conditioning systems and contributing to a more efficient and “green” future.
