Two solutions complement Rockwell Automation's range of Allen-Bradley® micro interlocked solutions: the 440G-MZ Guard Locking Safety Switch with Key, which is the evolution of the 440G-LZ, and the 440G- EZ, a fully electromagnetic safety switch.
These solutions, in the Rockwell Automation catalog, have the function of preventing the operation of dangerous organs after opening the interlocking moveable guard.
Unlike the previous LZ version, the 440G-MZ micro interlocked has the following features:
The Guard Locking Switch Allen-Bradley® 440G-MZ from Rockwell Automation helps protect personnel and it is suitable for use with many types of guard doors, including full-sized guard doors, which allow full body access to the safeguarded area, where a high holding force and a wide tolerance to guard misalignment are commonly required.
The 440G-MZ reduces wiring, simplifies installation and enables premier integration via an Ethernet/IP communications adapter and safety logic device when connected in a GuardLink system via a passive tap.
Alternatively, it can operate as an OSSD device, connected directly to a safety logic device or safety I/O device. The OSSDs or GuardLink safety outputs are energized only when the switch is both closed and locked.
Typical applications of this industrial safety device include machines which are surrounded by perimeter fences with guard doors for full body access (for example, robotic assembly or packaging machines), machines with built-in full-size doors (for example, bottling machines) and small to medium CNC machines.
On the other hand we can find the 440G-EZ version. Its main application concerns food processing machines having no pins and/or forks that are subject to the deposition of powders and/or doughs that could compromise their use as well as become a receptacle for dirt and perishable material.
The 440G-EZ safety switch allows greater productivity and efficiency, as it safely stops the application and the machine without interrupting the production process.
